I don't pretend to be an expert, but I've done a lot of reading on leopards and some on sulcatas. They should not be getting an excess of protein and I imagine that a dog's poop is higher in protein (due to its diet) than any tortoise should be consuming. I wouldn't think it's healthy for a tort to be eating dog poop.
I don't know about a dog eating tort poop.
good for either considering the different worms each carries.
there has got to be someone out there.

i have a sulcata that loves dog poop. the drier the better it seems. he will search out any little "poop scraps" he can find. ive never seem to hava had any probs. a while back someone posted something about them not being able to have ivermectin and that is the ingredient in some dog heartworm preventative medication. so just use intercepter as a heartworm preventative for your dog and you wont have to worry.

GOOSEBALLS
We have two dogs and 3 groups of tortoises. One of our dogs is a confirmed poop eater, but she doesn't do anything with tortoise poop.
All of our tortoises will (and have when I've missed it) eat dog poop. Tortoises eat mammal poop in the wild because it's relatively high in calcium and other minerals.
As long as your dog doesn't have worms, flukes, or taking a heartworm medication with ivermectin it won't hurt them, but like mixing species, it's not a good practice.
