My brand new baby > with legs.....

LindaH Jul 25, 2006 06:21 PM

or.....why I've been gone from the forum However, I will say that I have truly enjoyed all the beautiful new baby pics on here (I have taken the time for some quick lurks..hehe)

OK - OK - I know. This isn't a boa, but I've seen everything from motorcycles to dogs on here....so here is a brand spanking new baby hayburner. I will tell you this - mares can be as maddening at making you wait as boa girls. This girl made us wait for 3 WEEKS!! It was worth it though, for a nice foal like this little boy. He is one week old today. These are the first pics I have taken of him. I'll get some better ones to bore you with as time passes. Right now, they are kind of dirty - especially Mom. She is being very protective (YaY) and won't let us near him and I haven't pushed the issue yet. She deserves to have him to herself for a while....after carrying him dang near a year

These days, it's all about Mom and the "food supply"

Congrats on the new little one. He is a very handsome little boy. His mom looks just like the Arabs my aunt used to raise.
Thanks for posting him here, I look forward to more pics as he grows.

Well done!
Kathy

congrats on him! The mare is gorgeous.

However, I think we are in need of some boa pics from you... some Ghosts perhaps, or some SMs???

I miss being around horses. My step-father trained and raced Standardbreds.....I can't wait to get me some land out and get out of the city!

You can post pics of those all you want as far as I'm concerned!

that handsome little boy.
I would love to be able to keep horses. When growing up I always had a horse.
Thank you again,

Foals are wonderful little clowns. It's fun to watch his mother interact with him, guiding him and teaching him. My other mare in the next pen is SOOOOO jealous. She has been drooling over that baby ever since he stepped off the trailer. I told her when he is weaned from his mother, she can take over as big sister

ps: To "danktat" little boy horses can't retract their "equipment" at first. That skill, as with all things, comes with time.
