if these floridana were pure they would all look the same, but there not, all they are is mere deviant gene poolers.

Really? Because in every species of snake I've encountered, with the exception of Rubber Boa (I've only found two) and sharp-tailed snakes, there has been a great deal of variety between specimens.

You did'nt look close enough. All individual lifeforms are diff. regardless, you and me are the same species yet we look totally diff. even if you were my clone we would look diff.
let me know if this don't make sense.

point? if i did i'm sorry, old age is creepin up on me.

My point was that a lot genetic variety exists in my definition of a "pure" snake.

Really though, I honestly don't care if people do intentionally hybridize - some gorgeous snakes result, even lavender "brooksi" (they look really nice).

I'm trying to take a position kind of in the middle, with some definition of "pure" should be, and a preference that designed morphs be labeled as such.

c.b., w.c.,pure, hybrid, cross and it's all good, like someone else said "do what you want".

I like the high yellow ones down at the bottom, but those are ALL good looking animals!

I have been reading the "Pure" war that's been going on the past few days and i think it's silly and i hope it end soon!

I think same species variation is a good thing and prob why i like Alterna so much.. I say THANK GOD they do NOT all look the same!!

That last alterna is stunning. All of them are beauties, but that all gray with black stripes is drop dead gorgeous. Where/who did you pick up that beauty from?

You prolly know about the time when alterna were diff. from blairs. Then some guy found a gravid wild and when the eggs hatched they looked like the other taxon, lol, could you imagine every locale of G.B.K. being a diff. taxon?
G.B.K.'s are on my list from what i understand they are much easier to take care of now.

Jetzen, you pick up an alterna that's feeding good on rodents, then there's no turning back. they're as easy as anything else. My GBK never misses a meal. He'll even eat in the blue many times.
