Hey there all,
I need as much info on serious intensive care of WC tree vipers as possible. Basically I have bought a couple off a local zoo, they have been there for about one or two months. The plan from here is to give them each an individual cage made with limited visibility to the outside (so as to prevent stress from people moving around outside) and to keep them very humid but not stuffy. I really want to get them settled down a little, and perhaps even feeding before I subject them to the stress of antibiotics and dewormers. The plan is to offer them small mice and if they wont take those, small frogs - I really dont want to force feed them. How often should I be offering these and how soon after transport etc?
I was wondering about giving each one a whack of fluids with electrolyte supplement as soon as they finish travelling. Any ideas on whether the benefits will outweigh the costs from the stress of doing this? Any ideas on which electrolytes, vitamins etc they should be getting.
All info and help is most welcome and really, really appreciated.
Thanks million
Ian
