what kind of rainbow??

is this a columbian rainbow boa? if so how come i see some that look oally different with more color conrast an like green and tan markings>?

That is a columbian rainbow.

The "green" that you see more than likely refers to the irridescense from light refracting off of these species of snakes, hence the term - rainbow boa.

Nice snake!

how about these columbians in the classifieds how come their markings are so different? is that just how they are when their young juviniles or what?

Columbians are born with really elaborate markings and then the markings fade over time

Alrighty.......When columbians reach adult age do they start turning a "brown" color rather than "black" like mine is now?... i believe mine is around 11 months right now ive hadit for 3. Also, what kind of rainbow boa grows to be the largest?? THANKS for the answers!

They turn a darker color as they age and their pattern fades - colors range anywhere from cream to grey to purple or many shades of brown. They also change their color depending on the time of day - they lighten up at night.

As far as I know Peruvian Rainbows may be the biggest, but there isn't too much size difference between them and Columbian or Brazilian.
