Proud To Announce

rcgray Jul 25, 2006 09:58 PM

I am pretty excited to announce that I finally got my hands on a pair of Timor Pythons. I will post pics asap. Out of all the snakes I own, work with and produce these have got to be one of the most exciting pairs I am going to have in my collection. I have been told by several people that these are one of the most difficult species of python to breed. Chondros were successful on my behalf so I will give it a shot in the dark.
Sorry for rambiling just wanted to tell everyone about my new Timors.

Congrats on your buy, I was going to email you! I have an adult pair that I have raised for over 8 years and am thinking of selling because I need space for other animals, blackheads. They are tricky to get to reproduce. I have had breeding but no luck with ovultion or eggs. Did you buy Ben's pair? I will be in Daytona if you are looking for Timors let me know. Thanks Tom

Thanks guys, I am really excited about them. I am attempting to post some pics. I did get the pair from Ben. I had silently been looking for a pair for a while, and had found none, so I figured Daytona coming up I might throw a flag up incase anyone there was going to have any or if anyone on the forum knew of a breeder.
I will be in Daytona as I am every year, thats just one show I cant pass up regardless.
Tom I may be interested. Please email me the info about them and some contact info so we can discuss them farther.
I could only put one photo on so here is a semi blurry one of my female.
Thanks

Chad,
Who's did you get them from and what is their history? They are very cool pythons, allot like colubrids. Also very big eaters.
Fred.

I got them from Ben Siegel, I had been looking for a while and contacted everybody from vpi to nerd to Casey lazik trying to find some. The other day I saw he had a pair that were cb and I bought them. Other than them being cb I really dont know much more than they are timor pythons.

They are actually being bred more commonly now. Last year I believe I remember 3 or 4 breeders posting babies on kingsnake. The main thing with timors is it takes many years for the to become mature. The older the animals the better the chance you have. Good luck, I do enjoy timors and will probably keep them again someday!

And you can't have yours back, either!!! lol
I have a pair that were babies from John. Fierce eaters, and messy poopers. My female is 8', male is about 7. I'll put them togehter this inter, but that's probably too early. Price on babies jumped this year...
