Herping today in NC

Well ive had the week off and been doing some herping..

Found several nothern water snakes and got a copperhead as well.. mainly looking for rat snakes and corns and kings.. but some snakes are better than none i suppose..

Im gonna keep the copperhead.. its a little female.. i need a male now for a project.. to my suprise she ate a mouse within 30 mins of capture!

Cool deal. What part of NC? The Burlington area has been slow, although I shocked myself last night with two lifers, a mole kingsnake and an earth snake. It was even worth the horrible face my wife made when I let her smell the results of being musked!

I live in shelby.. bout 1hr from charlotte. Its been a bit slow here as well.. but i mainly search around the water sources.

Its been pretty good in eastern NC , lots of kings, coppers and rattlers.
