pics of monitor nests and a social ?

FR Jul 25, 2006 10:13 PM

The last two clutches were 9 eggs each. One from a tiny flavi, the other from a tiny cross. The top are ackies.

Now about a social question. As many know, there is all this talk about monitors not being social to any degree. So I ask, why do they practice ritualized combat???? Isn't that a social practice, to not hurt the other combatant. A challange without injury. Hmmmmmmm just a thought. Cheers

those nestings would products of groups of monitors(social)

And why no explainations of ritualized combat. A social behavior or not? Where are these academics when you need them? Cheers
