First three from 2006

Rick Millspaugh Jul 25, 2006 11:29 PM

Here are pics of the first three from 2006 clutch one. From the same pair that produced the spotted one last year and these are showing the trait too. I think they turned out awesome but, I am probably a little bias. Still working on the photo skills though (lol). First one has no pattern at all on it's belly. I am partial to the orange leonis but I really think I like the first one best.

All three of those are beauties. I agree with you on the one you like best too. That first one is really nice.

OK- What do you want for the one in the first pic? The arm, or the leg. lol. Absolutely beautiful Thayeri! I like the orange one too, but I also like the lime green on the second. Look forward to seeing more pics.

I hadn't really thought that far yet, probably just an arm for the first one and a leg for the orange one (lol). Seriously, more concerned with getting them to eat at this point. I like all three too; the next three are equally amazing (again IMHO), hopefully they will shed today and I'll get some pics, they have broader bands than these three.

The second clutch (from MSP mom) has some cool looking little ones coming out too. You think the second one pictured is green . . . wait until you see the one I took out this morning!

Thanks to both of you for the complements.

Well, I now have my first two little Thayeri out of the egg. The father was my yellow male, and the mother was a huge msp. The first baby was a beautiful bright orange, reduced saddled leonis with a charcoal gray head, and the second was an orange msp with a couple abberant spots on it. There are two more from that clutch that should hatch. The other nine went bad. Another batch falling victim to my broke aquarium heater along with my cal king eggs. I do have a clutch of Thayeri, and corn eggs that are looking great! The Thayeri are due anytime, and the corns are due the middle of August.
