I have not been on for a while so I thought I would post some pics of my Sulcatas Outdoor pen. The top picture is the Box turtle area, and the bottom is the whole pen area. If you look close at the bottom pic you can see 4 of the Sulcatas eating collards. There is a Hibiscus tree that give them 3 to 4 flowers a day that they just cant wait till morning to eat. there is also a large tortoise house in the right hand corner that is just out of the picture, but it gives them shelter from the rain and cold. there is also a green tote box that they hide in and a covered corner in the pen that they use on very sunny days. The pen seems to work well, they enjoy all areas of it and dont dig or try to climb out. The pen has two other section divided off, one is for my 7 Eastern Boxs (Pic at top) you can see a few of them coming out to see what is going on. The other is home to two young Sulcatas. They all seem very happy and healthy. As you can see, the grass did not stand a chance against the Sulcatas, they eat all the new growth as soon as it pops up. I live in Charleston SC so I will have to move them into the garage this winter, and cover up a larger portion of the box turtle pen.
Thanks to you all for the great advice I've been given on this website over the last few years, and Thanks to PHRats for always being here, and on the box turtle forum.
