How to make a lock down aquarium lid?

replover Jul 26, 2006 10:26 AM

Hi. I have a glass aquarium and I can make a screen mesh lid for it no problem. There is a "rim" inside the tank's top that I can place a wooden frame with mesh on it.

However, how do I make it so that I can lock it down? I can't really drill the glass and don't really want to. Is there any method that I can make the mesh top lockable while keeping the glass intact?

Check venomousreptiles.org -- there is a picture of a locking aquarium over there. A recent poster on this forum said he found the picture pretty easily.
