Man, your making me feel old. In 85 I was in my second year in the Navy, LOL. Anyway, excellent pic. I was a bit older before reptiles became a big part of me.

Yeah i guess that's what happens when the nearest kid is a couple miles away and the nearest town is 15 miles away, nothing to do but hunt reptiles all day long lol

home of the original "Owl" Bar and Cafe, gateway to the White Sands missle range, entrance to the Bosque del Apache. I've spent a fair amount of time herping (and hunting) around there. I know the area well.

I'm originally fom Philly, but I spent 3 awesome years in Socorro attending NMINT as a geology grad student. I now reside in Tennessee by way of West Virginia.

My first king was a yellow and black ringed CalKing in Philly. I really wanted one of the Indigos the shop had, but my parents said it was too expensive at $85.00.

While in NM I found a coachwhip DOR wich I pickled in a jar - left that behind for the next resident. I also found a DOR atrox outside my house which I skinned and cured - still have it. Had a 105mm cannon round from TERRA too, but I left that behind as well.

Almost moved back to Albuquerque back in '94 - still wish I did!

Ever been to the Hemez? The Malpie? The Bosque? Mt Taylor? Langmuire Lab?

NM is Awesome!

Jemez? El Malipais? and Los Alamos Labs? I've never heard of Langmuire Lab. The Jemez mountains were/are one of my favorite places. When I was a kid in the 60's we went up there almost every weekend during the summer. I learned to flyfish at Fenton Lake. The Malipais in the Zuni's is where I currently do most of my archery elk hunting. I went to the Guadalupe river in Jemez last weekend and we were planing to go to the Zuni's this weekend but it looks like it's going to rain like heck so I'll postpone until next weekend. The Zuni's are just southwest of Mt Taylor. I've spent lots of time on Mt. Taylor hunting turkey and Barbary sheep. I used to hunt deer there too. I'm a native New Mexican. Did you know someone named Tim when you went to NM Tech?
When did you go there?
