How many females can a healthy adult male columbian breed in one season?

This is variable, and depends on many circumstances.

Short answer
many people believe 1.2 is great.
some people have experience with males not doing a thorough job and so use 1.1 or even 2.1
some people like to use another male or two as 'insurance', figuring she will definitely take
some try to spread it a little thinner... 1.3 is not uncommon.

I personally have had an adult male albino agressively court 8 or 9 females one season, for more than 2 weeks each!
but NOT ONE of those females took!

In my opinion, shoot for 1.2, or even 1.3 but have a backup male for those important females.

best wishes, Joe
