I called the Vet Hospital again today. The gecko began moving around a lot more yesterday, and ate on its own today. I may be able to bring it home tomorrow, but we'll see how it's doing. When I get "custody" again, I will take some pictures to show how healthy it looks compared to the previous pictures (hopefully).
The vet is going to call me again tonight. 
It looks like the baby is going to pull through this ordeal after all.
