GBR Press:Lizard meets its robotic match

Jul 26, 2006 07:34 PM

THE TIMES (London, UK) 26 July 06 Lizard meets its robotic match (Dave Bebber)
Photo at URL below: A bearded dragon lizard at London Zoo, had a new playmate yesterday in the form of a robotic reptile.
The Roboreptile, which has a lifelike gait, can balance on its hind legs in an aggressive stance. The zoo’s reptile house experts were on hand to make sure hostilities did not start.
Mikaella Lock, of the British Herpetological Society, said beforehand: “Anything could happen. Although the Roboreptile has similar characteristics to the bearded dragon, he will still be a stranger in the tank.”

Interesting article but that is no bearded dragon with the robot, looks more like some sort of iguana.
