There is eye candy, and then there is ultimate eye candy! These guys definately fall into the latter category--absolutely gorgeous! Knowing little about lateralis, I have a question. Is this a naturally occuring color morph, or one thats been developed/enhanced through selective breeding?
rgds,

Its a natural morph. These are F1 from parents that were found at a location near Cartago, Costa Rica.
Here is my colony of adults and there is 1 blueish specimen in there.

nice animals! Do you know the locality of them?
Unfortunately there was no locality information available on the specimens when I obtained them as I asked. They were imported from RM in CR in 2004 if I recall correctly.

Thanks for posting your photos. Even the bright green animals seem to have a hint of blue in them. I love the group feeding pic--do they ever fight over food? Seeing all four with mouths full of mice gives the impression that this is a mellow bunch of snakes. Are they usually kept in pairs or groups rather than single animals?--Just curious.

althea
