Gopher snake food???

gr8snake Jul 27, 2006 12:44 AM

What should i feed a 4+ feet Sonoran Gopher snake? Large mice? Medium rats? She eat 6-7 large adult mice each meal. Is a medium rat (rats) make more sense?

How about her 3+ feet male?

Thanks,

I would stay with rats as much as you can. Multiple mice per meal could get expensive!!! I give mine wheaned to small rats. They are 4 and 5 feet. Really depends on the size of the snake's head. My 5 footer has a small head, otherwise he would get medium rats.
