Been Awhile- Jackson's Update

vegasbilly Jul 27, 2006 02:03 PM

Hey All!

Its been awhile - snake breeding season etc. taking up alot of my time. Pic of male after just entering a female's cage...and her reaction! LOL! Updated pic of a Feb./06 holdback male. I'll keep trying but she has proven so far to be completely unreceptive!

I fight for the unconventional
My right, and its unconditional
I can only, be as real as i can
The disadvantage is
I never knew the plan
This isnt the way just to be a martyr
I cant, walk alone any longer
I fight, for the ones that cant fight
And if I lose, at least I tried....

Depending upon the time of year, Tiger Rat Snakes (Spilotes) "Sunburst" Indian Sand Boas (keep their juvenile coloration to adulthood), Az. Mtn. Kings, Red Tailed Green Rats (green and grey phases) and hopefully Emerald Tree Boas and Green Tree Pythons as my largest are now of sufficient age and weight to cycle. I missed out last season on the GTPs as my big "male" is actually a huge female - just goes to show, probe once, then once again later! Based upon spur size one would swear she's a male - very odd. Kinda good news actually as I thought "he" was gay and I'd have to go out and buy a new Sorong male to complete the group.

I have 2.2 Tiger Rats that each go through 6 adult mice or two medium rats per week!! - high metabolisms but my favorites!Soo much more active tan the ETBs or GTPs.

Oh my goodness, Bill....poor male....I can feel the rejection all the way in So. indiana. She does make it readily apparent doesn't she? I've never had a female and I had no idea they changed that much. Poor girl looks like she's going to croak any moment. I'm glad you posted the pic. I would have gone into a super panic. No wonder people post and ask what the heck is wrong. Diane
