My Beardie is moving to a new tank today..under the tank heater size???

My baby is moving to a 65 gal tank today..what size under the tank heater do you all suggest..should i get the one for 50-60 or should i use the one for a 30-40 one is 8x12 and one is 8 x18 thanks

I would be careful with the under tank heaters. Some are known to malfunction just like hot rocks and cause really serious burns on the belly, because dragons are not able to judge stomach temp until it burns them. The right temps are easy to get with light bulbs from above. If you put a nice piece of slate or river rock below the light you'll get a place where the beardie can get safe stomach heat. I would definitely suggest against using them if it is not hooked up to a thermostat that automatically shuts it off when it gets to a certain temp. I've seen really nasty pics of burns caused by under tank heaters.
