Here's a few of Whisper after a recent shed. He's got quite a few black specks in him which I'm curious to see if they stay. He's getting more blue in him too. All the white is filling in with a gray/blue shade.

Meg, What Locality or local-type is this one? Love the eyes.

He's a Jayapura type. I wish the eyes would stay that way, but alas....they get silver or some shade like that. We'll have to see...

if it is at what age did he/she start to turn green? mine is only guessing about a year and only has very minimal tiny barely see specs of green starting to pip in on the head. although this pic was takin about 2 months ago and you cant see it in this one still pretty

He was a red neonate. You're thinking of my Sorong, Tempest. This is her...she was a yellow neonate.

since i seen whisper. cuz i dont remember whisper looking that colorful tempest is the one i am in love with depending on what mine turns out to look like and the sex i might have to try and convince you for a breeding loan wink wink

Sure. Let me know! She's so docile I can't wait to see if I get nice sweet good feeding babies out of her. Whisper is real mellow too so it should be a good pairing.

Here is Tempest hanging out with me on the couch this afternoon. She stayed in this position, or with her head on my chest for almost an hour with me just petting her body and her head. She is the most AWESOME chondro ever! The picture was basically a point and shoot and hope I got something because I didn't want to disturb her. I wish I could have gotten one with her head on my chest but I didn't have the camera handy then. I had to get up and get my husband something so I grabbed the camera then and resettled her. This was the position she decided to rest in.

Man if I had to bet my right kidney, I would say that is a Wamena/highland critter and not a Jaya. Will be interesting to see how the white diamonds turn out, if they go blue or turn more yellowish/white, etc.

They are most definitely going blue. Most are almost filled in. The blue is a bit grayer than the bright blue of the stripe though. You can see the difference in this picture. More blue is filled in now though, I just haven't photographed him this week.
