egg retention

teanuhkixbum Jul 28, 2006 10:16 AM

is it normal for a bearded dragon to have only two eggs in their first clutch? i have a young female dragon who feels like she has more eggs inside, and only laid two eggs in her first clutch, and i'm worried that she may be unable to pass them, though it has been over a week now since she laid the first couple of eggs... could there be a second clutch in there or should i be taking her to a vet to get eggs removed??

help!

Take her to a vet ASAP. If you have any doubt to if she has more eggs in her. I just had a 9 yr old dragon that died of a massive egg retention. We thought it was a tumor due to the fact that we lost our other older dragon to cancer about 1 1/2 yrs ago.
