Has anybody ever tried using reular household plants as a natural nitrate filters in aquatic setups. Just thinking it would be a easier (and natural) way to keep level the levels in check. and also cutback on water changes. If so how did you set it up? What kind of plants have you used. (Was thinking trying bamboos and spider plants. of course keeping the plants outof reach of the turtles) Thanks in advance
