Bored on a sunday, thought I'd show off my kids COME SEE!!!

DogStar Aug 03, 2003 09:55 AM

I did this yesterday (was bored then too) I think they came out pretty well. I have a collection of Sobe caps and finally came up with a good use for them.

This is Chupacabra my fat momma lizard (I also have one of ther with a sobe cap that says "lizard of unusual size"

This is her future boyfriend, 5 month old KeyserSoze with an apt cap for his attitude.

Chupas daughter from her first clutch, 1 1/2 month old FoxGlove

Chupas son from her second clutch 1 month old OddSpyder, his cap says "Alota Lizarda" if you cant quite see it, he was much harder to pose.

Cute story about him, he was the second to last egg, and the last to stick his head out of the egg, and took a looooonnnnnnggg time at it, one night I came home thinking he HAD to be out, it had been 48 hours with his head out. Well he was still in there, I touched the egg and found to my horror the eggshell had shrunk and dried rock hard around him (I had let too much air in on a hot day)the last egg was completely hard and the baby was dead. So I took teeny scissors and cut the eggshell open to find to my horror again that the yolk hadn't absorbed! So I thought crap I just killed this little bebe, I left him attached to the eggshell and yolk, but him on damp paper towels, wet the egg real good and left him for the night thinking he'd be dead in the morning. He was alive but very weak the next morning and had unattached himself from the yolk even though it wasn't all absorbed. Still thinking he was going to die I went to work and was going to bring home a teensy bit of euthanasia solution for him. That night not only was he alive but perky. Then the weekend came and I realized at 3 days old his eyes were still shut, I thought he didn't have any so I started to force feed him little crickets, as soon as he felt them in his mouth he'd eat them on his own, all I had to do was open it. I started calling him Odds because he seemed to have beat them. Later, after soaking him in an electrolyte solution he finally opened his little eyes on day 4. And has been fighting ever since. He was always TINY, very hesitant to eat very much, and like a dummy I decided to keep the little dude. He was so cute and skinny and spindly like a spider. He still doesnt eat a ton but now that his brothers and sisters are gone he is gaining wieght like nobodies business. He's a whole 6 grams now!
Sorry so long, thanks for looking!
