hey peeps i know it has been a while but thought i would share my first ever clutch of cal kings.wow how'bout that wide stripe? i just about fell over when he crawled out into full view. i just checked on the albino clutch and one albino is peepn its head out.so i put the lid back on and put it back on the shelf. i will check on them and post some pics as soon as i feel they are safe to mess with. i am very happy and can't stop walking around with a stupid grin.

The wide stripe is awesome - but I think I like the middle pic best.

Congrats!

yeah up in this thread but here are some of the pairs i have bred this year. i did not double clutch any of them because this is my first year breeding snakes, i just wanted to see what it was like and if i could keep kings well enough to breed them. now i plan on keeping the ones i like and also other types of kings.the black and white banded female never produced. i think it was because i had already bred the male like three times. the other females did lay healthy eggs so maybe she is taking a year off hehe.the female paired at the bottom laid 8 eggs and they are the ones hatching tonight i hope that the little ones have the deep yellow like the ones pictured. but it may take time for them to get out of the pink stage. guess we will all know tomorrow
thanks for looking
