Ecuadoran (L. t. micropholis)

FunkyRes Jul 28, 2006 07:18 PM

Hi guys - please nobody take this the wrong way, but I've never been too fond of the triangulum species up here in the US. Just personal taste thing. I do like hondurans (especially the morphs) and I find the color changing of the black milk to be fascinating, but today - I found (er, on the web - not literally) what to me seems like the most beautiful milk snake I have ever seen.

The Ecuadoran milk snake.

An image of one can be seen here:

Anyone here keep them? I'd love some information about them from first hand experience keepers, especially pictures (google images is rather shy on pics).

Thanks,
FunkyRes

...Popayan milksnake for the last couple years. I'm sure he will see your post and reply to it. I have found that the Popayans are as easy to keep as any of the other large tropical milks.

Attached is a picture of a male I got from Nathan in the fall of 2004.

Thanks!
I gather they aren't too common (yet?) in american breeding colonies.

They sure are gorgeous snakes.
