Yemen Monitor

I ordered a Sav Monitor and what I got was totally different. After much research I believe it is a Yemen Monitor. This is listed in Appendix II of CITES. Is this legal? What regs apply? Any info would be helpful.

You should be able to trace your monitor back to the exporter. If it came from the usual sources in Togo/Benin (West Africa), I assure you that it is not V. yemenensis. Probably just an unusually patterened/colored exanthematicus. A yemenensis would have cost you at least 10x what a a sav cost.
