How can you NOT appreciate the color of a utah yellowhead? How can you not look and thing WOW, such beauty? That guy you know is garish, LMAO ! Yes I really like the C. vestiguim also, very very much ! Seems some don't share that feeling, either love em or they don't care. I find them to be extremely amazing to watch, nothing like it ! And I love the contrast of color between the male and female, awesome couple ! Love my Baja's LOL Eve

Is it just special effects or does he have like 4 or 5 collars?

Just went and read up on subspecies (looked at pics) at Crazy Crotaphytus C. Vestigium acually has collars (or what looks like them) going all the way down their back? Thats cool. I think my favorits, as far as looks, are C. Vestigium, C. Dickersonae, and C. Collaris (the 'Original')

there are no currently recognized subspecies of collared lizards, at least from a taxonomy standpoint. C. vestigium, C. dickersonae, C. collaris, etc. are each distinct species of Crotaphytus... As for C. vestigium, the white crossbands on the dorsal surface are not really collars. It is from the conspicuous black pigmentation (rings, bars) in the neck region that the name "collared" lizard is derived. The extent of the black collar(s) can be quite variable across species and individual populations...

Well I figured they aren't acually collars, judjing from the pic on the 'Crazy Crotaphytus' home page, where you can accually see the collar a different color, as for the species, not subspecies, thing, I didn't know that, thanks.

Can different subspecies of collareds crossbreed? Or is it like different species in that way?
