Hand feeding the Scarlet:

Oxyrhopus Jul 29, 2006 09:05 AM

These snakes condition themselves to know that people mean food. Here is one taking a defrosted unscented pink from my fingers. Later it was still hungry so it tried to eat the bowl. She finally learned to go into it and drink, but she went in over her head and drank a ton.

Haha... That reminds me of last week when I was feeding my Rubber Boas. When I was putting a mouse in, it touched the side of the container before I put it down in there. The male Rubber smelled where it touched the wall, and he was trying to eat the side of the container for about thirty seconds (even though the mouse was only a couple inches away). Finally I moved his head over to the mouse and he ate it.
