Brian my albinos are hooked together!! more

Thomas j Aug 03, 2003 11:04 AM

I got my friends male last Sat. I have seen them together 3 times so far. The temp is at 85. I will drop it a degree or two every Sat. I will leave it at 80 for 2 months.

Is there anything else i need to do? I still offer food. And pray. Maybe my preacher friend can help me on that one. I hope his are doing good as well.

Thanks Brian for your help!! Good luck on your Granites!!

If they are locking up without having been cycled you probably want to seperate them. You don't want anymore dud clutches man. If you don't have another cage just slip in a wooden divider until you can get another cage built. And you may want to take your night temps down to 77-78 and the days 82-84

Thanks for the well wishing on the granites. I still haven't began their cycling and am PACKING the females full of rabbits for a couple more weeks. There's just something about that extra foot providing 10 more babies that is SO appealing, .

It isn't "Ideas" that fail or succeed,... it is the "Systems" which are instilled to launch and sustain the idea that either fail or succeed.>[Me.]

Great i will seperate them. I lower the temp every sat. Or do i need to just drop it an keep it there. I have pigs thawing for the albino as we speak. Trying to pack on more weight.

You can drop the temps rapidly. And she should still eat at the lower temps, only her digestion will be slower. But if you want to put on more length or weight just put off cooling for a month and pack her like there's no tomorrow. In my opinion it's always good to fatten the female prior to breeding, regardless of species.
