Coral Albino Female at 1 year

shedthegear Jul 29, 2006 07:11 PM

I just had to take some new pics of her post-shed. She's a bit over 1 year now and looks better and better with each shed. The red just 'bleeds' out of her. She's also 66% het snow to boot.

Thanks to Robyn at PE for this beauty. I've had since she was a neonate and intend to prove her out in a few years to an Anery het Snow. She's a product of Dbl Het Snow x Dbl Het Snow.

Here's another albino, she was a first albino purchase and still my favorite boa in my collection. She's from a coralAlbinoXArab.het.Albino.

I have seen in het snow albino's that they tend to be corals. Would be nice to know genetics behind it.

She was sired from Dbl Het Snow x Dbl Het Snow.

I've heard from a few people that the fact that she's coralled up gives her a better chance of being Het Snow. I sure hope you are right with your 100% prediction. I'll have to wait 'til Spring of '09 to find out.

While I haven't seen her sister yet (an albino from the same litter) I've heard that she hasn't coralled up at all and is really a normal looking albino. I'd like to find time to head over to PE and take a look at her.

And am seeing the same thing. Some are coralling up nice and others look like normal albino's. When I do my breedings I will keep the litter for a year and keep the coral looking ones for myself and sell the others as plain albino's. I could be wrong but I have heard from too many people this is the case.
