Biggest eggs I've had

RobHaneisen Jul 29, 2006 09:05 PM

What do you like better in a clutch of eggs - size or quantity?

Here's five eggs laid by a het albino possible het for hypo female from Dunham line bred to my huge tangerine albino male. I was her first year breeding and she made quite an impression with five mammoth eggs. She was between 750 and 800 grams as a three year old this spring when she was bred. Can't wait to see how big the hatchlings are. Maybe she'll give more in her second clutch this fall?

Pics are eggs and daddy.

Hi Rob! I bought a beautiful pair of hypo hondos from you at the reptile show in NH last fall. They're doing great and growing nicely. The male escaped in December and I thought I would never find him, so I picked up a het hypo/anery male this spring. Wouldn't you know, the lost male showed up again in June, in pretty good health too! He's got some catching up to do as his sister is now twice his size, but he seems very happy to be back in his home and eating well again. Anyway, thought I'd let you know how they're doing. Are you going to be at the next NH show this fall?

David:

It's always glad to see my snakes growing up just as pretty as when I sold them. I'm happy you are enjying them. Having had a snake escape before only to turn up in relatively good shape 45 days later I can empathize with both the anxiety you must have gone through and the thrill of finding him.

My sister is getting married on the same date as the Manchester Show this year so I won't be there. Too bad as its my favorite show but family comes first. If there's anything you are looking for, send me a request and I'll try (actually the snakes do all the work) to make it happen.

Actually, those pictures were taken a while ago. They are both bigger now and their bands have actually gotten lighter too. That's too bad you won't be at the show but at least it's for a happy occasion. I'm not in the market for any new additions just yet, but I am interested in getting a nice anery and or albino female someday.
