I think most who read this will start off with a huge laugh. Please do not be offended, but we simply have to laugh. The reason is, its funny. Real funny.

heres the deal, you breed un pure(OK, thats funny too)snakes. Heck, You breed any snake in order to see what the babies will come out like. If you know the EXACT genetic history, you can make inaccurate guesses at what is suppose to come out, but most often, your guesses will not be very good. Particularly when more then one recessive trait is envolved. Then if you consider, you have both recessive and co-dominate traits. Its probably better to wait until the eggs hatch and see for yourself.

Also what is so funny is, you only have two choices, you only have two females. Of those two females, the only one is possibly pure(non-mixed genes) thats the desert striped. But natural desert stripes are very rare in nature, that is, they only occur in a couple of places( San Flipe creek, etc) So the chances are, it to is a designer king. If that female is "pure" it still leaves you with a problem of, you do not have a male to match.

So all in all, it does not matter, you can and should, attempt to breed which ever blows your shorts up, or whichever blows the females scales up. Yea, let them choose. Cheers and all in fun

This pretty much sums up what FR was saying. I put this pair together this year. They're both striped Cali Kings, so you would EXPECT all striped hatchlings, but the first one to pip out was a BANDED aberrant!!!

I must say - that is one of the best looking abberants I've seen in awhile. I generally don't like them.
