You're both quite correct it is not a Yemen but a banded V. exanthematicus. This was confirmed by Mark Bayless. I thank him and all of you for taking the time to help. I wanted to be sure of the ID so the animal would get the proper care. One of Mark's comments was that he had only seen one other one like it. If it is that uncommon should it not be in the hands of qualified breeder and not a hobbyest where it cannot pass on it's genes? Please give me some feedback on placing this.
