Unexpected arrival

jos Jul 31, 2006 02:16 AM

Just though I would post a pic of this little guy. He was produced from an unproven burgundy het x burgundy het breeding. Turns out he seems to be the complete opposite...lol It should be interesting to see if his melanin increases after the first shed, or as he ages. I'm going to try again with the hets to see if this is genetic.

Any opinions out there, love to hear them,

Joe

Nice one you have there, I just got my first snake/ball python 3 days ago. I will try to post pics soon!

looks cool, I saw one like that get darker after its first shed, I'll see if I have any pics on my other computer later

Very cool looking little snake. Congrats on the production. If it proves to be a heritable trait, I think it's make some nice combos with albinos and such.

Heya Joe...how many eggs were there? Were there others and this is the only one that looks that way?

Take some more pics! :D

I have a large burgundy female that dropped eight eggs for me last year...seven of them were darker than either the sire or her.

So i am thinking the burgundy hets are somewhat visable(Would get a better clue if i get some pastel sired eggs from her.)

These are the one light(female) and the male i plan to breed back to mom(the other six look like him in color).

Hey Charles,
There were five eggs in total, two of which went bad. I'll post more pics when he sheds.

Joe.
