Red Motley Nics

TSKinc Jul 31, 2006 08:37 AM

You may remember a year or so back Jack Briggs had some Nic’s that were really cool looking, one black and one red well at least that is how we differentiated them here. So we were given the opportunity to purchase them from him last year. So we did and here is one of the offspring from them.

This is from the red one. Just shed a few days ago we have been waiting for days so we could take good pics. Any ways the gene has proven out and we now have Red Motley Nicaraguan Boas. The black one proved out as well. Still waiting for those to shed but we will show pics of them once they do. Yes, these are Motley Nics. I had Jeremy Stone take a look at them before calling them Motley to be sure. Actually he has only seen pics of the black one but he agreed that they really are Motley. So we are real excited with the potential of this new Nic morph.

Thanks for looking,

Dan & Colette

Just so there is no misunderstanding these are not a cross or a mix. This is a nic to nic breeding. This is a true pure nic motley.

Thank you,

Dan

I remember Jack Showing me the Pictures a few years ago in Daytona, and I thought if those Proved out they would be KILLER. They had soo much pattern. When Dan came over to my place two weeks ago, he was so excited to show me his pictures on his Lap top. I was STUNNED. By the way, Snake Keeper is moving to Utah, and they are building a very nice Snake breeding facility here. They should be done By September. That makes 2 large Snake facilities in Utah in the Past 2 years. What are the Locals going to think now? lol

A huge Congrats to them for taking the risk and Proving this out. Especially for Ball Python people. lol There was no doubt after seeing the litter from the Black ones, and seeing the SIRE, that they were a form of Motley. I can't wait to see the Super. CONGRATS AGAIN COLETTE and DAN. Now lets do it with the RED ONES. Colette deserves this one. She has been the visionary in the Boas. Dan just follows her and acts like he is the one in charge. lol

I really won't have ANY excuse for not getting boas then... or begging to be hired on as a poo-scraper just so I can see the snakes!

Utah's the place to be!

Jeremy Stone the Boa breeder with the Ball Pythons.

Down the street...

The Sutherlands the Ball Python breeders turned Boa.

Hmm... boaconstrictor.com and ballpython.com?

Merger!

Seriously, that's insane!
You win!
Will you be releasing any for sale?
How does the trait work is it dominant/potentially co-dominant of some sort I assume?
The black one is also a Motley?
Congratulations. Nice choice on the nic to nic breeding as well!

to everyone for all the kind words. We will put up other pics as they become available. Actually with the move you may just see them in Daytona sooner than I will have the time to take pictures between now and then. Colette really does get all the kudos on these boas. She saw the vision on these and took the time to make it happen. She just has an eye for these things I guess. For those of you who know us well it is like one of her "projects". I have learned over the years you do not ask questions about the projects you just wait and see the results. Not all pan out but most of them have and when they do WOW! Since I am checking out the new place in Utah today and I am away I have to say congratulations again Colette!!!!
