Pile O' Axanthics

muddoc Jul 31, 2006 09:52 AM

I was out in the snake room taking some pics with my new camera for my website. Low and behold all of my VPI Axanthic babies had shed except for one female. So I snapped a pic that I have been wanting to take, and thought it came out pretty good. The snakes on top are males and the ones on the bottom are females. The normal looking snake in the middle is one of the Het. Axanthic males.

Thanks for looking,

Awesome picture! It reminds me of those black and white pictures where only a rose has "coloration".

Heh, I like Hognoses's assessment of it. The picture definitely forces the viewer to take in the stark differences between axanthics and normals. Some people's pictures just aren't that convincing. Congrats on the pile.

i always love how hatchling axanthics don't look real. you look at pic's like that and if ya didn't know any better you'd swear it was photoshopped. i show my girlfriend pics like that and she still has to double take cause of the shear difference from what's expected on a ball python.
