i was sexing my ball lazlo which i beleived was a female (ive probed "her" before) with a probe that seemed the right size lubed (from tongs.com) and the probe went deep like a male and i was being gentle. it didnt have a hard stop like a female, when i pulled the probe out the hemipenis came out with the probe, it was wrapped around thre probe like how a sock comes off but it was stuck on it the ball tip, i had to use my fingernail to get it off. did i punture the sexual organ? will my snake ever breed? is this even normal? any advise is welcome.

Jake, it may have been a sperm plug. Was it a hard waxy substance?

it was flesh, it was the sexual organ, the whole thing came out then went back in when it came off the probe. if i had to describe it was like the skin on the inside of your cheek, sorry for asking here but needed a quik reply

There may have been some waxy substance that stuck to the probe and when you pulled the probe out, it pulled on the organ as well. If the organ went back in, let him be. I wouldn't fool with it anymore.

Do you know how to pop? There is a good tutorial on popping which you can see via my link in my signature ... it's in the tutorial section and it was made by Jen of Herp Crazy Reptiles ... she did an awesome job, and it may be of some use to you.

That happened to me once. From that point on, I ensure I have enough "lube" and I don't twist in full circle - just back and forth twisting action just in case the probe is hung up.

As long as the hemipenis went immedaitely back inside you shouldn't run into any problems in the future with this snake, although I must admit I have probed more than a "few" snakes and never had that happen, he's okie, worry not
