Pinkie mice. I sometimes try for newborns from a big litter, that usually has smaller pups but my 5-8 gram neonate Children's manage them just fine.

These guys like large prey items. It really turns on their feeding response. Even hatchling anthills will take large pinks to small live or fresh killed fuzzies. If this doesn't work try washing fresh killed in warm water. I would say that this gets 90% going for me.

Be patient, sometimes they just need to get hungry. Don't throw fod at them every 12 hours. It will just stress them out.
