choices, choices , need advice

LesLonsdale Jul 31, 2006 03:43 PM

Hi, I believe this is my first post to this forum, though I have made a few to the hognose forum.
I have raised Burmese in the past, but now want to try raising a retic.
Now there are two shows coming my way, but the first one (National Breeders Expo)coming to Daytona is about a 5 hr. drive and I'll have to shell out for a motel room. The second one (Repticon) is coming to Tallahassee (only 45 min. away).

Having never been to either, I was wondering if one is as good as another for someone looking for a baby Retic., or if most of you prefer one over the other for some reason, and think it worth the extra driving and motel to attend the first one.

Thanks for any advice,
Les

Hands down I would easly go for the Daytona show. I have never been the repticon show in Tall, but I have gone to the one in Tampa,Sarasota and Orlando. All the Repticon have fairly small and don't even compare to the Daytona show for the sheer volume of choices. Most of the top breeders are there in Daytona. You might spend a little more with motel and travel cost but I think you would find it worth it.

Chrondro,
Thank you for the advice. This is what I was looking for; why reinvent the wheel? Get advice from those who have already 'been there, done that'. That's always been my philosophy.
