Wild Crickets

FunkyRes Aug 01, 2006 12:13 AM

This time of year, there are a lot of wild crickets hopping about. I don't have to go outside to find them, they come inside.

Any reason not to feed these to my Alligator Lizard? I know wild mice can and do carry parasites harmful to snakes, but do wild crickets carry any of these?

I assume it isn't that big of a deal, my girl is WC from this locale and is quite healthy, but I thought I'd ask if anyone knows of anything spread by wild crickets.

All I'd say is be careful for pesticides, but otherwise its ok. I used to feed any wild caught animal wild caught food cuz crickets are WAY too expensive ^.^
