because I have a nice one. Just went in to shut down the snake room for the night and noticed this bunch of slimeballs! The dam of this clutch is an anery and the sire is a hypomel. Needless to say I'm super-stoked about these babies. Don't have numbers yet. I'll post stats tomorrow.

Have you ever noticed how keeping reptiles requires the patience of a saint? Man but when the wait is finally up, YESSSS!!!

Mike,
That one off to the right looks freakish. Probably should just place it into the freezer and use it as kingsnake feed
Great litter, let us know the final stats.

Congrats!! Something I'm wondering about, What are the things in the top, just left of center, of the picture? kind of orangeish color. Then there is a lima bean shaped thing just left of center. What are they?
Just showing how much I dont know....
Thanks,
Rob

Mike,

Congrats! Looks like you have a few Anery babies in there. Can't wait to see a Ghost BRB.

Here is a stupid question for you, If these came from a hypo and a anery how could one of the babies be anery? Wouldn't they all be double hets? I'm still learning my genetics so bear with me.

Thanks!
Jamie

Thanks everybody. Here's the stats on this clutch

13 live, 3 slugs
5 male; 8 female
masses range from 27.49g to 36.81g

The orange things in the picture are "slugs" these are infertile ova.

Yes, two of the babies are rather "odd" looking and we'll just leave it at that until their color sets in a bit.

Jamie, you've asked a million (or at least a $7,000.00) dollar question. Right now, I don't have the answer. But, I'm going to have a really good time trying to figure it out.

By the way, Linda is still in the lead with a clutch size of 15. However, with a mass of 36.81, I'm going to take the heaviest baby category for now. Good luck with the rest of your clutches. Get those numbers to me when you've got them.

A major congrats to you! I hope you will also post pics of the parents. (I would love to see the anery)

I suppose you now must keep and raise 13 more BRB's. Oh goodness.....nothing more than a burden, you poor fella.

Thanks Linda. Yeah, it's a hard life but I'll find some way to cope. Here's the female.
