temperature gun use

anyone use the temp guns out there? i just bought one and dont really know where to aim the thing at. do i aim it at their basking platform? in the air? at the light? how close?

its one of the one for 25 bucks off pro exotics i believe.

I will swear by the rayteck temp guns they ar expensive but well worth it. Anyways, you put the laser or the probe where you want to read the temp, like in the middle of the basking spot or in the cool end.
