Question about egg...PLEASE HELP

stephluvsgeckos Aug 01, 2006 12:47 PM

Hello all. I had my first hatchling hatch on 7/22/06. He is doing fine and eating well. His clutchmate has yet to hatch and it's 8/1. The egg appears fine. It has grown just like the other one did. I got curious today and carefully picked it up and put a flash light under it to see if I could tell if it was good and about half the egg appears totally empty. The other half has what appears to be an embryo/fetus but I have no idea if its viable or even good. I'm not sure if a gecko could fit in that little space. It's been almost 10 days since the clutchmate hatched...what should I do? Thanks in advance.

Don't do anything just theres nothing you can do exept wait.Do you se any vains when you candle it?If so its still good if not it might have died. But just keep waiting though.

Best thig to do is just wait. If it is dead it is too late anyway. But if it is alive you could easily kill it by opening the egg to soon.

Eventually you will have to do something but I would wait at least 2 weeks to open it.
