Dented Egg! What can I do?!?!

divinitry May 20, 2003 06:06 AM

I have my eggs in a hovabator set at 88 degrees and they have been doing well for about 2 and a half weeks now but yesterday one of them started to dent in, I know that its possible that it can be a result of humidity, and I also know that it might just be infertile, but what can I do to try and salvage it? Thank you in advance!

Wet a small piece of paper towel and place it over the top of the eggs in your egg container. Sometimes this will help if the eggs are fertile. The eggs may absorb the moisture and begin to expand after a couple of days. Make sure the paper towel is not dripping wet, wet it and wring it out before you place it on top of the eggs.

Good Luck,

If it is just a small dent, then it can be saved by just adding more water to the incubation medium (not on the eggs themselves though).
