Baby Boas born 7/20

Getting ready for work and noticed something different in the tank. She was bred on purpose but i did not think she was pregnent, because she was "supposed" to drop almost two months ago. Anyway im happy with this little suprise, 16 healthy full term babies, and 7 slugs, not too shabby for a first time breeder. Enjoy the pics, had to share them.

The melamine cages I used to use, which I built myself, looked exactly like that! Including the fact that the doors on the bottom cages hinged upward! Great minds think alike I guess! You even cut the door opening out of melamine exactly like I used to on the doors, and screwed on Plexiglas on the back! Works like a charm doesn't it? I'll bet you have a raised bottom with heat under it too right? They work pretty good too I'll bet.

Congratulations on the babies! I know how thrilling it is to have those fresh babies! I never get over it! I am always bringing down everyone in the family to check out our new babies. It's great fun and sometimes the family actually pretends like they are excited about the babies like I am too! That makes it even more fun!

Great looking melamine cages and congrats again on the babies!

on your new litter.
It is funny how Jeff notice the cage. But leave to a cage builder to notice things we overlook; type of cage.
