i hvae a veiled that is going to be living in a 4x2x2 cage. it is going to be in a closet and at max the vapor bulb will be hanging about 6 inches away from the enclosure, it can be no further away. is that too little space inb/w? and if its ok than for the size of my cage should i get a 100w or 150w? also were is the best place to get a mercury vapor bulb?

i currently use the 160watt powersun from big apple herp. my bulb is about 16-18" total from the basking spot. with a 100, i would reccomend lowering the baksing spot to about 12" for a veiled. that is total space from the bulb to the vine (or whatever).

Hi-

You will need no more then a 100W MV Bulb. I have used just about every major brand of MV and would recommend ONLY the Zoomed and BigApple. The best price you will find is on the net, try www.reptiledepot.com (only supplies no animals)Hope this helps!
