Northern Pinesnake

Hi! here a pic of my male pine he is 6 ' 4years old and i have it since he was young .Do somebody knows what phase can it be it is really different than the femelle

....those adults,imo,just scratch the surface of the natural range of variability in just northern pines alone.the only 'morphs' i'm aware of in that subspecies are patternless,amelanistic,and a red phase,perhaps one or two more.but those look like plain old nice northerns to me.

i have seen #s of no. pines....there appears to be a gender dimorphism.....females have a black neck and head region...males are considerably lighter in that area...perhaps to avoid mate selection confusion......sorta like in the human buttocks?????

Bob..I didn't know that. I have been looking for a black headed northern and now that I think about it, the ones I have seen have all been female.
