I bought this camera new, worst investment I have ever made!!!!
Sometimes it takes good pics and most of the time it doesn't.Does anyone on this forum use this camera??? You would think with the automatic settings that it would take decent pics , but not mine. My Canon 3.2 Megapixel A70 takes better pics!!! Just venting a little. Thanks for listening.

Hi.

The R1 is a very good camera, I would suggest spending more time learning it's tricks...ALL of the digicams made today are limited in some ways, so sometimes it takes a little while to figure things out. I am just starting to get good pictures from my sony H1, I have taken 3500 in the four months i have had it. I think by this time next year, with over 10,000 photos taken, i might actually know how to take the shots i want. also, take it off "auto." You probably know more about what you want the photo to look like then the camera does.

Good luck.

Erik.

The R1 is one of Sony's most popular cameras and has a very strong following even among professional photographers. Somehow I doubt it is as bad you say, you didn't even mention WHAT problems you are having exactly. I agree with erik that it should take some time to learn how to use a camera properly. Otherwise, see below...

Don't know what to say. I have this camera and it is my first digital camera. I have found that it is very hard to take a bad picture even when it is set on auto. Clint
