Mid-day Bart Report - shot his own food!

lele Aug 03, 2003 02:12 PM

I was all set to ask (worried of course) why Bart would be keeping his eyes closed so much even tho' he seems on the mend (still giving neo-cal, pedialyte and an occasional ph or ff). As I came in to turn on my computer I checked on him again and he was cross-eyed (you know - when they look straight ahead with both eyes fixed on a meal LOL!) getting a ff into his sights - then he shot!!! First time in days (week or more?). He missed, but who cares! He tried!

I had only been putting in one at a time so as not to overwhelm him - still in his little 2.5 gal recovery room - but after this attempt I dumped in two more. I am really glad b/c the last two attempts at force feeding he pushed them out of his mouth!

So hopefully this means he will hunt again on his own (may try a ph cup-feed later). He is still a bit unsure in his step so it will be awhile before he moves into a bigger home, but once I get his girlfriends in a few months they will need the big house again!

I'm cautiously happy and hopeful.
