Just plain and simple.....

.....that's the way I like it.
This is one hatchling from the clutch of eggs laid by a NC eastern king I have. She was hit by a car,given to me, and once she was back in shape, I bred her to my male.

I like lots of color for sure too, but I also like the classics. Much as my musical tastes..

Taken very quickly and under flourescents (I could have adjusted for that I guess), that's not a great shot. I was kinda excited to see them crawling about since they just pipped last night
I use a cheap 4mp Kodak. No bells or whistles there either...hahaha
If I was to take my time and set up a bit I could probably come up with a decent shot. It works o.k. in the field too and you know those are my favorite shots.

I think the feature you're asking about above could be the "action" or "sport" mode, but some cameras also have "image stabilization" modes these days. Really helps in zoom situations where your movement is also magnified.
Getting pics of my baby goini has been difficult to say the least. None of them will hold still!
